Nick Leavey
Nick is a Solicitor specialising in commercial property with over 20 years’ experience advising charities, local authorities and other public and private sector clients. He has also been Chairman and a board member at a large regional law firm. Nick developed a keen interest in public health and health promotion whilst working with NGOs and government agencies before qualifying as a Solicitor. He has also been Company Secretary and a board member of a housing charity for older people.

Brendan Ward
Brendan is a long standing resident of Brighton and Hove. His professional background was in health & social care services, both locally and further afield. He was a director in a number of NHS organisations and subsequently ran his own consultancy business. Brendan joins us from Safety Net, where he was a trustee for almost 20 years.

Janice Robinson
Janice has a background in health, social care and education, and has a special interest in disability and ageing. She has had a long career in research and development, leading projects that have led to improved services for people needing support. She has extensive experience working in partnership with local authorities, the NHS and not for profit organisations and is enthusiastic about the benefits of collaboration and the distinctive impact that voluntary organisations can have on people’s lives.

Anne Mari Barker-Davies
With over twenty years working as an accountant in the charity sector, Anne Mari is currently the Director of Finance for Zetetick Housing, providing accommodation to adults with learning disabilities. Anne Mari was a previous co-director of Safety Net, which successfully merged with Impact Initiatives in January 2023.

Callum Waddell
Callum is a Director of Commercialisation and Strategy at Mastercard. He is passionate about bringing his Product, Account, and Relationship Management skills from the Financial Services sector to Impact Initiatives; as well as his expertise in working across multiple geographies, cultures and backgrounds.

Neil Moscrop
A former police officer who now holds a senior management position within the security industry, working for a London-based company. He's been a trustee since 2002 and Chair since 2011. Neil holds a wealth of experience in managing risk and the operational aspects of a large organisation. His involvement with Impact Initiatives goes back to his professional interest in supporting those with mental health issues or other disadvantages whose needs were not being met within the statutory sector.

Carly Bunker
Carly has recently joined the Impact Board. She is currently completing a degree in Childhood and Youth Studies with The Open University, and is planning on changing careers to this field in the next couple of years. Helping children and young people who are experiencing difficulties is an area she is passionate about and she is looking forward to gaining a deeper understanding of Impact’s work particularly in this area.

Leo Jago
Leo brings knowledge and experience from many years of working in the voluntary sector and is our longest standing trustee. His continued commitment to the Board and the organisation is to ensure Impact’s services continue to meet the needs of individuals in ways that help them contribute to their communities.

Simon Knight
Simon is one of the West Sussex Deputy Lieutenants. He is a rural property management specialist advising private, institutional and charity clients. He holds a number of trusteeships, including being the current Chairman of the Sussex Heritage Trust, and has been a trustee of Impact since 2015.

Ron Jenkins
Ron brings expertise in business and finance management to the board from his careers in both shipping and wholesale horticulture. On his retirement he became a volunteer advocate for Impact's Community Advocacy service, a role he continues to hold. It was through this that he joined the board of trustees in 2015.
