Workability

Workability helps people with disabilities who live in Brighton and Hove and West Sussex and carers in West Sussex only, to find the right employment for them. We work with individuals to identify their skills and match these to employment they are interested in. We then provide support through the application, interview and induction process.

The people we work with have a physical disability, sensory impairment and/or an acquired brain injury, or are carers. They may have lifelong disabilities or have sustained trauma or gradual changes that have altered their employment options. Many seek employment for financial gain and to be independent but also to bring much-needed structure to their week.

WE'RE HERE IF YOU'D LIKE TO TALK TO US FOR ANY REASON.

About Workability

Our Employment Specialists work with each person to identify realistic employment ambitions and the support they need to secure and succeed in a particular role. They bring extensive knowledge of employers and the opportunities they offer, which are the foundations of each job search.

Our Employment Specialists link their clients with employers and other services to ensure they get high-quality ongoing support appropriate to their individual needs. They can also support clients to understand and navigate any benefit changes employment may bring.

Workability’s support has made a big difference to my employment. They have given me a voice which has resulted in positive changes, allowing me to manage my health and work better.

Gladys, Service User

Thank you for listening to my work needs and helping me understand what I can offer an employer.

Peter, Service User

Thank you very much for your kindness, expertise, support and encouragement. I have now been able to leave a job I was unhappy in and find new full time work I love.
