Safeguarding & wellbeing service, helping children and families across Brighton & Hove
Hop members and customers come to us to find connections and activities to use existing and learn new skills. They support each other, and many are involved in the ongoing development of our varied activity programme. One day each week focuses on people living with dementia.

The Hop 50+ staff team take time to ensure there is always a warm greeting, and a positive friendly environment for both new and existing customers. With its open kitchen, our café provides freshly cooked excellent food and great coffee without high street prices. We are open to anyone aged 50+ and their carers.
The Hop 50+ is open Monday – Saturday, with Friday being a dedicated day for people living with the early stages of dementia.
The café is open between 9.30am and 4pm.
Our monthly programme of activities includes regular groups alongside specific events and minibus trips. Some of these are led by specialist facilitators others are more informal and led by members or volunteers. These include discussion groups, art classes, a gardening group, play reading and exercise classes.
Fridays provide specialist support and activities for people living with dementia, these are smaller, more structured and quieter sessions so members can focus, enjoy and benefit from their time with us.
