Workability West SussexPrint

Impact Workability offers adults in West Sussex support to find training, volunteering or paid work opportunities that will help them to realise their potential.
The service specialises in supporting:

  • People with either a physical or sensory impairment
  • People with an acquired brain injury
  • Carers (people who are caring for friend or family)

Impact Workability offers bespoke one to one and group support to help people identify their ambitions and agree a realistic plan to help them achieve them. Our support will help people to match their skills and abilities to suitable jobs, courses and training opportunities.
Employment specialists work with people at a pace that is comfortable to them and seek to find solutions to the barriers that they may need to overcome e.g. finding opportunities that fit alongside caring responsibilities, or around their health difficulties.
Impact Workability also supports employers by working with them to identify their employment needs, so we can help them to recruit the right people and ensure they have the resources and understanding to support current and potential employees.

Workability provides specialist one to one and group support which focuses on employment. Specialists help people to identify their own ambitions and agree a realistic plan to help them achieve these. Helping people to match their skills and abilities to suitable jobs, courses and training and supporting them to access these. The people we work with set a pace that is comfortable to them and whilst together we ensure progress is made, we understand that sometimes people need to take time to deal with other issues before they can focus on employment. We understand that many carers face significant barriers trying to access or prepare for work alongside their caring roles and our specialist service is there to support them. We also work with employers to identify their employment needs so we can help them to recruit the right people and to ensure they have the resources and understanding to support current and potential employees.

‘I have very little confidence regarding work, Workability really helped. My Employment Specialist pushed me out of my comfort zone in a good way. Applying for jobs on-line has been difficult for me and they really helped me with this’
